The Ambassador of Nowhere Texas by Kimberly Willis Holt

This book is a sequel to 'When Zachary Beaver Came to Town' but it can perfectly be read as a stand-alone.

I can not put into words what this book actually made me feel like. I smiled, laughed, cried and felt angry while reading it. It is middle-grade fiction and focuses on giving some really valuable messages to anyone to tries to achieve them. OK, let's take a look at what this book has to offer;

The story take place around the time 9/11 happened in New York. When the whole world was under a chaos and started blaming and hating Muslims for this act but how can you have peace when you try to spread hatred around? So, no hating others and spread smiles always.

The story also highlights the negative affect of bullying that leaves it's mark on the victim for a lifetime and then be transferred to other person. The feelings were amazingly expressed in this book.

The grief for a broken friendship is so REAL. I literally cried when the main character Rylee had to go through it. The story greatly emphasize upon the meaning of real friendship which can not be broken by simple downfalls of life.

Now let me talk about my favorite lesson that this book taught me; NEVER STOP DOING SOMETHING YOU LOVE DOING JUST BECAUSE SOMEONE CLOSE TO YOU DOES NOT APPROVE OF IT. If that person really cares about you, he/she will care about what you love, too!

And FINALLY, let me tell you the most amazing journey of Rylee and Joe (they just became my favorite) I loved how their chemistry builds in the story, slowly and then unbreakable. I can guarantee you will LOVE reading this beautiful book that will stay in your heart for a long time.
